Recovering Smell After Loss

Service Description
Olfactory Rebuild is a small-group, evidence-informed training program for people who have lost their sense of smell and want a structured path forward. Designed and led by a PhD-level psychologist specializing in olfaction and cognition, this program combines assessment, skill-building, and ongoing support. It is a guided rehabilitation process grounded in neuroplasticity and current research. This program is designed for adults with persistent anosmia or severe smell loss, typically lasting six months or longer. Many participants lost their sense of smell following viral illness, including COVID, and feel they have reached a plateau or been told to wait and see. The program is best suited for people who are willing to engage in regular at-home training and participate actively in the process. The program begins with an in-person weekend immersion where participants learn how smell loss occurs, how retraining works, and how to practice core olfactory training techniques. The weekend establishes shared understanding, builds practical skills, and sets a personalized starting point for each participant. Following the immersion, participants engage in structured at-home olfactory training with clear daily and weekly guidance. Monthly group calls provide accountability, protocol refinement, and support for common challenges such as plateaus, distortions, and frustration. The program includes a baseline olfactory health assessment before training begins and a follow-up assessment at the end of the program. These assessments allow participants to track change over time and receive clear guidance for continued practice. Olfactory Rebuild is intentionally limited to six participants to allow for individualized guidance and meaningful progress. The program is offered on a sliding scale from $495 to $1,595 CAD. Participants are invited to select the rate that best reflects their current financial reality. No explanation or justification is required. Access Rate: $495 (Use code OLFACTORY-ACCESS), Supported Rate: $895 (Use code OLFACTORY-SUPPORTED); Standard Rate: $1,395 (No code required), Sustainer Rate: $1,595 (For those who wish to support broader access to this work Use the Add-on in the booking options). This program does not promise full recovery and does not replace medical care. It offers structure, expertise, and support for those ready to actively engage in the retraining process.
