Olfactory Health Assessment

Are you noticing subtle shifts in your sense of smell—or simply ready to make scent a vital part of your health journey? Whether you're recovering from illness, curious about your olfactory system, or looking to boost cognitive health, this foundational assessment is your first step.

Our 1-hour Olfactory Health Baseline Assessment is a personalized, science-driven experience designed to help you understand where your sense of smell currently stands, and where it can go. Your sense of smell is more than a sensory function; it’s a gateway to memory, emotion, and long-term brain health. And yet, most of us never think to check in on it.

This one-on-one, in-person evaluation uses clinically validated tools to give you a comprehensive snapshot of your olfactory health. After your session, you’ll receive a custom plan tailored to your specific needs and goals, your own blueprint for supporting and enhancing your smell function year-round.

Dr. Jamie Knight is a nationally recognized researcher, educator, and social innovator specializing in the intersection of brain health, sensory science, and lifespan development. She holds a PhD in Psychology, where her award-winning research focused on the role of olfaction in early detection of cognitive decline and dementia.

Her work bridges neuroscience and modifiable lifestyle wellness practices to support aging populations and those at risk for memory-related conditions.

Jamie is the founder of Olfactory Health, a Victoria-based wellness and education platform dedicated to improving memory resilience and emotional well-being through the sense of smell. With over 15 years of experience in academic, health, and innovation sectors, she has led interdisciplinary projects across digital health, aging, and community engagement.

She is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the AGE-WELL Graduate Student Award in Technology and Aging, and the Ferguson Award in Digital Health and Innovation. Jamie has also partnered with Indigenous-led organizations such as the IISAAK OLAM Foundation to co-create a culturally grounded Indigenous Mental Health Wellness Program centered on plant knowledge and sensory memory.
